Member of the Sovereignty Council, Deputy Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Jaber meets with the UN expert on human rights in Sudan

Member of the Sovereignty Council, Deputy Commander-in-Chief, Lieutenant General and Marine Engineering Advisor, Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, affirmed the Sudanese government's concern and full commitment to facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid to citizens of all states, as well as granting visas to relief teams and employees of organizations working in the humanitarian field.

Meeting today in his office in Port Sudan, the UN expert on human rights in Sudan, Dr Radwan Noueiser, provided a comprehensive overview of the humanitarian conditions in Sudan since the outbreak of war, and the extent of coordination between the executive and security agencies to provide humanitarian assistance to those who deserve it and facilitate the work of relief teams.

The meeting stressed the need to protect civilians, facilitate the work of humanitarian convoys and hold accountable all those who have violated human rights in Sudan.

For his part, Dr. Radwan Noueiser explained that the meeting discussed the humanitarian situation in Sudan and stressed the need to facilitate the tasks of relief teams, journalists, lawyers, United Nations agents and partners of international organizations and their movements in Sudan.

His Excellency expressed his satisfaction with the great understanding and response of the Government of Sudan regarding the issue of humanitarian assistance, wishing that security, peace and stability prevail in Sudan.
