Northern Governor meets delegation from Dalqo Mining Company (Alqam)
The governor of the northern state met in his office with the delegation of the executive management of the Alqam mining company (Dalqo Mining Company), headed by engineer Omar Al-Sheikh, in the presence of the state security committee, the director of the Sudanese Mining Company. The company and the executive director of the locality of Dalqo discussed the modalities of restarting the company's activity, which was interrupted some time ago due to protests by the population of the region.
The governor stressed the need to intensify efforts to restart the business in order to advance the economy in light of the difficult circumstances the country is going through, stressing the need for the business to assume its social responsibility towards the region.
He also tasked the security committee with resolving disputes between local residents and the company.
The head of the delegation is committed to fulfilling the company's social obligations towards the populations of the region
The Director of the Sudanese Minerals Company, Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Nadeef, said that the Alqam Company Group came to support the projects of the northern state, as follows: production and productivity of gold exports:
And restart some of the factories that were shut down to supply the Sudanese economy with gold exports
For his part, a member of the board of directors of the Alqam Group of Companies and Secretary General, Engineer Omar Al-Sheikh, explained that Alqam Gold Export Company is working to invest in the mining field and that the company has other activities and programs aimed at establishing factories in the northern state soon.
In this regard, the Executive Director of Dalqo Locality, Mr. Mudathir Sharaf Al-Din, confirmed
They stood by the company's management and overcame every obstacle the company faced to continue its work.
He also stressed the follow-up of the company's commitments to the local component of the Abu Sara region and other sheikhdoms.
