The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Malik Aqar Air, met this afternoon with the United Nations expert on human rights in Sudan, Radwan Noueiser, in the presence of the Minister of Justice, Dr. Muawiya Othman Muhammad Khair.
His Excellency stressed the importance of accountability and no impunity for crimes committed by the Rapid Support Militia against the Sudanese people.
The meeting discussed issues related to the human rights situation in Sudan with regard to the protection of civilians and internally displaced persons in particular.
In addition to facilitating humanitarian relief operations and the tasks of civil society organizations.
For his part, the UN expert on human rights in Sudan welcomed the cooperation of the Sudanese government and the improvement of visas for international employees involved in humanitarian affairs. This will lead to a clear advance in the movement of humanitarian convoys.
Radwan Noueiser said he spoke to the Vice President of the Sovereignty Council about the proposed political paths and the importance of engaging in them to end the ongoing conflict in Sudan.
