Governor of the Red Sea State…and fighting corruption and corrupt people

Immediately after taking office, and in his first media appearance, the Governor of the Red Sea State, Major General Maash Mustafa Mohamed Nour Mahmoud, announced the effective start of the fight against corruption and the demolition of the strongholds of the corrupters.

Despite the difficulty and seriousness of the task, I was encouraged by this conversation and prepared to go to the justice platforms to monitor and follow up on the implementation of the legal measures that the governor will take to confront these corruptors.

The mafia, gangs and land brokers are active these days in a frightening and disturbing way, stalking government sites, sports grounds and strategic sites in an attempt to deceive and mislead.

These days, these brokers have headed to the buildings of the General Union of Students of the Red Sea State with the aim of exploiting what remained of the building's courtyard and distributing it in the form of warehouses and stores.

Following the decision to dissolve the federations and unions, the building of the General Union of Sudanese Students in the Red Sea State remained unattended and untraceable by brokers, in full view of witnesses.

It is very easy to make decisions from air-conditioned offices, but the real challenge lies in monitoring the implementation of these decisions on the ground.

The governor of the Red Sea State heads the security committee, which consists of the director of the state police, the director of the general intelligence service and the commander of the Red Sea military region. They have the authority and powers to resolve this issue in seconds and put things in the right direction.

The governor must personally supervise the implementation of his decisions on the ground and not leave it to subordinate employees to ensure the smooth running of the work.

Upholding the rule of law and demonstrating the prestige of the state reassures the hearts of citizens and gives them the feeling that their lives and property are in good hands.

The ball is still in the court of the governor of the Red Sea State and the chairman of the Security Committee, who are trying to activate the security services to monitor and control the activity of this network specialized in the sale and construction of land without any legal or moral right.

The governor's decision to open schools and resume studies at different levels of education was a courageous and successful decision that won the admiration and approval of the citizens and was the starting point for opening schools in all states of Sudan, free from the course of the war.
