The President of the Sovereignty Council meets the delegation of the National Committee for Popular Mobilization and Resistance
The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General *Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan* met today with the delegation of the National Committee for Popular Mobilization and Resistance, headed by Major General Bashir Makki Al-Bahi.
General Bashir, chairman of the committee, explained in a press statement that the meeting aimed to listen to the directives and advice of the commander-in-chief of the armed forces regarding support for this national effort.
Stating that the committee will work in coordination with state alert committees in order to fully fulfill its mission.
He said the committee would also work to provide weapons to the military in cooperation and coordination with the leadership of the armed forces. He added that this work is of utmost importance in this delicate stage that the country is going through. The committee will also work to empower the men of assembly and prepare them well to work side by side with the armed forces to eliminate this rebel terrorist menace.
He added that the meeting highlighted the need to form national committees to accommodate all former committee heads, in addition to forming support committees for state alert committees so that expertise can benefit from the advancement of this national work.
