President of the Sovereignty Council receives credentials from Iranian Ambassador to Sudan

Today, the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, received the credentials of the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Sudan, Hassan Shah Hosseini, as his country's Ambassador and Extraordinary Plenipotentiary to Sudan, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Muhammad Al-Ghali Ali Yousef and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hussein Al-Amin.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release that the Iranian ambassador presented his credentials to the Chairman of the Sovereign Council today, indicating that the Chairman of the Sovereign Council welcomed the new ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He stressed the strength of relations between Sudan and Iran and said that the presentation of his credentials by the ambassador marks the beginning of a new phase in the process of bilateral relations between the two countries.

For his part, the Iranian ambassador said that the presentation of his credentials comes within the framework of the common consensus between the two countries regarding the exchange of ambassadors and the promotion of bilateral relations, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the President of the Sovereignty Council for accepting his credentials, stressing that he will do his utmost to strengthen the cooperative relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Sudan.

Declaring that his country supports the national sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of Sudan.
