1309 – Henry VII is recognized as King of the Romans by Pope Clement V.

1555 – Italian Pope Paul IV orders that the Jews of Rome be confined to a ghetto and prevented from living among others, as they are accused of corruption.

1670 – The last Jew leaves Vienna after the decision to expel the Jews.
