Northern Governor Meets Refugee Delegation
The Governor of the Northern State, Mr. Abdeen Awadallah, met in his office with the delegation of the Refugee Commission led by Dr. Musa Ali Atroun, Head of the Federal Refugee Commission. This happened in the presence of the State Security Committee and the State Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid, Dr. Abdul Rahman Ali.
The governor stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination between the northern state authorities and the refugee delegation.

Where Mr. Governor was briefed on the objectives of the visit, which was to ascertain the conditions of refugees in the state and the opening of the Office of the High Commissioner for Refugees in the state to inventory the refugees.
The delegation was also briefed on the refugee situation by the Governor and members of the Security Committee.
Dr. Musa said the meeting enabled the delegation to speed up the registration of refugees.
He added that their visit to the North was preceded by visits to Khartoum and Nile states as part of reviewing the activities of the refugee delegation in these states.
