Seizure of food and spoiled goods in Omdurman
A joint team from the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Authority, Omdurman unit and Karary locality, the Ministry of Health, Economic Security and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock in Khartoum State, based on qualitative information from the surveys on supply and consumer protection, was able to seize a food store in Karary, Professor Sulafa Abdel Aziz, head of the unit, revealed that 3,500 bags of beans weighing 25 kilos, expired and damaged, are being repackaged, as well as 1,500 kilos of rice infested with insects. to various quantities of products and foodstuffs in a grocery store in the city of Omdurman.
The Authority informed consumers of the need to review the validity periods before purchasing and to immediately report any illegal commercial practices to the Authority's offices located in stable states.
