Negotiation Scenarios! ✍️ Rashan O'Shea
The events of April 15 proved that our country has spent no less than five years of absurdities and blatant lies, which have cost us lives and money, as well as the destruction of our infrastructure and social fabric, under false slogans.
In the first two months of the war, when the militia was at the peak of its strength, thousands of fighters, thousands of combat vehicles, weapons and ammunition were available in abundance, and at the same time the army was in an unenviable position, and the shock took all minds, the great generals (Major General Abu Bakr Faqiri), the expert, succeeded in negotiation and international law, (Lieutenant General Mahjoub Bushra) was the owner of the alert mind and the pillars of their war. (the guilty plea agreement), which the militias signed in Jeddah, in May 2023 AD.
The other absurdity of recent years is what we see today in the conflict that followed the war in Sudan, where it has been proven to us that there is no national political force that resists aggression with its people. Sticking to a position and not being able to present a national speech, some political leaders have instead tried to seize the opportunity to gain advantages, such as the leader of the party who left Cairo for Port Sudan demanding that he be given the post of prime minister. The leadership refused on the pretext that it could not ally with a political party and grant it the right to form a government without the participation of others, its position changed completely to the opposite, after he was one of my sponsors. It is just that the word has transformed, with the power of Qadir, into a “dove of peace”.
The assassination attempt on “Al-Burhan” by militia marches in the “Jabit” region confirms that militias have nothing to do with the value of peace and that “Hemedti” is not a man of peace and that America is not really capable of achieving peace. For “Al-Daglo”, killing is easier than signing a peace agreement. It is easier for them to plan a murder than to negotiate peace.
As for the United States, what is certain is that it cannot change the equation from war to peace in Sudan, but its fundamental capacity is rather to exert media and political pressure and seize opportunities to achieve its gains, and not to confront the “Hemedti”. This does not change the balance of power or the equations of war, and the same goes for the leaders of the militias who launched the war without appreciating the consequences.
So what is going on? The short answer is that America is in trouble. Sudan’s move to ally itself again with the Russians, as in previous experience, has been a great humiliation for a regime that claims to be the superpower, and the Russo-Sudanese alliance has made the United States tremble like autumn leaves.
The army and its leaders will not sign a peace agreement according to the concept of “Hemedti” and his partners and supporters, even if they fought for a hundred years if they sat down to negotiate in Geneva or “Al-Wagh Al-Wagh.”, they will not leave the station of the terms of the agreement of principles in “Jeddah”, which stipulates the surrender of the militias.
“Al-Burhan” will not neglect the rights of the affected people, nor will he accept the return of the militias and their leaders to the national political scene, especially after he became the most courageous, wise and popular leader among the leaders of the Resistance Front in Sudan.
What is practical in this matter is that the members of the negotiating delegation with the United States in Jeddah are reliable figures for their patriotism and negotiating skills, such as the Minister of Mines, “Mohamed Bashir Abu Nammu”, who was the chief negotiator for the Sudan Liberation Movement in the “Juba” negotiations. He has successful experiences and is known for his patriotic positions and skills. As for the two generals “Bushra” and “Faqiri”, they spoke of their capabilities and national loyalty to the Jeddah agreement in principle.
Any agreement signed with “Al-Dagalo” will not lead to any results on the battlefield, because the militias are no longer the same as on April 15. “Kikal” has established its kingdom in Al-Jazira and Sennar, and “Jalha” In Kordofan, there is nothing left for “Al-Dagalo”, “Dagalo”, except Darfur, and it is also a common theater in which the “armed struggle forces” clash, which have found their historical opportunity for revenge.
The delegations will go to Jeddah and Geneva and return as if nothing had happened, because the matter is beyond the control of everyone, including the Sudanese army, which knows for sure that it has no choice but to fight and liberate every inch of land in Sudan. The people will no longer accept “Al Dagalo” in the ranks of the state.
Also, the “resistance” will not stop fighting for the defense of land and honor.
My love and respect
