Today, the Advisor and Representative of the Governor of the Northern State, Major General Kamal Moussa, the Director General of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Head of the Technical Committee for the Autumn Emergencies, Engineer/Khaled Moussa, the Executive Director of the Dalqo Locality, Professor Mudassir Sharaf al-Din, the Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid, Dr. Abdul Rahman Ali Khairy, the leaders of the state and local security and police services, as well as the Director of the Dalqo Unit, Professor Samer Ahmed, inspected the people affected by the floods and rains in the Ibsara area of the Dalqo locality and developed urgent solutions and implemented them on the ground, the delegation reviewed the damage caused by the floods in the area recently, in addition to providing food and medical aid under the auspices of the Commission. executive director of the locality.
For his part, the representative and advisor to the governor said that due to the recent torrential rains in the state, many areas were damaged, including Al-Kasinger, Al-Dabbah, Al-Hafir, Al-Barqiq and some areas of Dalgo, with only material losses, calling for the unity of all in this period, calling on the humanitarian aid organizations in the state to intervene immediately and provide services, and the importance of limiting themselves to compensating those affected, stressing this in the coming days. There will be state support with food and medical supplies, in addition to the support provided by the locality of Dalgo, which will be provided by the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company by providing fifteen tents to the affected people, in addition to sending a work team from the National Electricity Authority of the state asked the area to review and restore electricity, expressing its thanks to the executive director of the locality, the youth of the area for stopping the flow of the torrent and the civil defense forces of the area. State for their appreciated efforts to limit and minimize the spread of torrents.
For his part, the Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid said that some aid would arrive in the area and that his plan is for the intervention of the United Nations agency in the state. He expressed the desire and availability to identify the damage through visits to various areas of the country. localities of the state, stressing the importance of counting the losses to claim rights, he called for the intervention of organizations and the United Nations agency, asking God for compensation and relief for the inhabitants of the area.
For his part, the Director General of the Ministry of Infrastructure, the designated minister and head of the technical committee for the state's autumn emergencies, said that the purpose of the visit is to inspect the extent of the damage in the area. Calling on the local planning committee to make a visualization of the damage in areas suitable for housing and to reconsider the construction of housing, he explained that they are in the process of finding effective and healthy alternatives. adapt to all natural fluctuations, calling on civil society and voluntary groups to provide services to the affected people in the state, in addition to reviewing electricity in the area.
For his part, the executive director of Dalqo locality said that the purpose of the visit is to examine the damages that occurred in the Ibsara region due to the flow of torrents, and that patience should be exercised in the face of calamities, and that the region will be rebuilt through the efforts of its citizens, indicating that the locality is fully ready to support the region with food, medical aid and tarpaulins, promising to provide temporary tents to the affected people in the region, advising that their support for the region continues. citizens not to build near or in flood waterways, speaking of its danger, calling on the state and local infrastructure administration to study flood waterways and avoid building and farming there, and whoever violates will be exposed to legal liability, stressing that climate change in the state has a role in torrents and floods, in addition to the water that comes from areas outside the state borders, indicating that a study will be conducted for the area in order to prevent the construction of housing again during floods and to find suitable alternatives for owners of houses located in the flood flow area, asking God for compensation and relief for the residents of the area.
It is worth noting that among the houses that were damaged by the torrents and rains in the Ibasara region, seventeen houses were completely destroyed and seventeen others partially destroyed.
