President of the Sovereignty Council meets Rwandan President

The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, met with Rwandan President Paul Kagame in Kigali.
The meeting focused on bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to support and promote them.
The President of the Sovereignty Council briefed the Rwandan President on the situation in Sudan in the context of the rebellion led by the Rapid Support Terrorist Militia against the State and its institutions and the ongoing efforts to address the crisis.
Stressing that the Government of Sudan has positively addressed all the proposed initiatives at a time when terrorist militias are stubborn and reluctant to implement the obligations stipulated in the Jeddah Declaration signed on May 11.
Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan affirmed the Sudanese government's commitment to peace, indicating that peace must be a just peace that ensures the pride and dignity of the Sudanese people.
For his part, the Rwandan President highlighted the well-established relations between Sudan and Rwanda, expressing his thanks to the President of the Sovereignty Council for accepting the invitation and his visit to Rwanda, wishing Sudan continued peace, security and stability.
It is noteworthy that the meeting took place in the presence of the Director of the General Intelligence Service, Lieutenant General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal, and Ambassador Khaled Musa Dafallah, Chargé d'Affaires of the Sudanese Embassy in Rwanda.
