Saudi Arabia pledges to set up tents for flood victims, displaced people

The Federal Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments announced that Saudi Arabia is committed to installing new tents in sufficient numbers for those affected by floods and rains and displaced persons in Kassala State to contribute to a stable start to the new academic year for students.

The joint meeting between the Minister of Religious Affairs, Dr. Osama Muhammad Ahmed Al-Bathani, and the Minister of Social Development of Kassala State, Omar Othman Adam, in the presence of Dr. Abdul Samad Ali Abdul Samad and the Director of Kassala Endowments, revealed the commitments of the Religious Attaché at the Embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Sudan, His Eminence Sheikh Abdullah bin Abdul Latif Al Sheikh, to establish these tents. The meeting confirmed that arrangements have been made to hold a meeting between the two. The Minister of Religious Affairs, the Governor of the State and the Minister of Health, Education, Guidance and Social Development of the State will discuss environmental health arrangements in the new accommodation camps, through the establishment of toilets and the control of disease vectors.

The Minister of Social Development said that the meeting addressed the need to strengthen coordination in relations and joint work between the two ministries, while the Minister of Endowments stressed that the coming period will see the organization of scientific courses and workshops for imams and preachers. He explained that these workshops will begin their work at the local level and that advocacy convoy programs will continue to support the armed forces. the battle of Karama, to include safe states, Minister Osama announced arrangements by the Ministry of Endowments to conduct advocacy convoys for the Nile and Northern states during the coming period.
