Al-Bahi inspects people affected by torrents and rain in Merowe locality
As part of his field visits to localities in the Northern State, the Leader of the National People's Resistance, Major General Bashir Makki, the Deputy Leader of the People's Resistance, Dr. Abdul Rahman Faqiri, and the accompanying delegation, paid an inspection visit to people affected by torrents and rains in Merowe locality, Tangasi Region.
They examined the extent of the damage caused to affected families.

For his part, Mr. Mahjoub Muhammad Sayed Ahmed, Executive Director of Merowe locality, announced the number of houses damaged due to torrents and rains, estimated at two thousand five hundred, of which one thousand four hundred and twenty-nine houses collapsed completely and seven hundred and fifty collapsed partially and are likely to collapse at any time.
Mahjoub called on everyone to provide as many tents as possible

One of those affected, the leader of the popular resistance of the locality of Marawi, spoke of the support provided by philanthropists from areas adjacent to the locality of Marawi and humanitarian organizations.
He also spoke about the needs of those affected, including shelter tents, water points and food stocks, given the severe damage that people in the area have been exposed to.
