Shendi: Psychological and social support programs for arrivals in shelters have produced positive results

A number of expatriates in the Shindi shelters stated that the psychological and social support programs implemented by the Shindi General Administration of Youth and Sports in cooperation with the Mohafiyoun Initiative had a positive impact and created a kind of sense of change and broke the instances of monotony and boredom that sometimes prevailed in the shelters.
A number of students from Othman Ali Hamad Mallah School in the Quraish neighborhood of Shindi, which hosted the psychological and social support program, expressed their satisfaction with the different sections of the program, which included different fields and meaningful titles, presented by the youth of the Motivational Initiative.
A number of them indicated that the entertainment programs, competitions, drawing and coloring offered to the children at the shelter had a positive impact on the children's souls and lifted their spirits.
In addition, the Director of Shindi Youth and Sports Department, Muzammil Syed Ahmed Abdel Rahman, said that the psychological and social support programs implemented by his administration with the Mohafiyoun initiative received a great response and interaction from expatriates, and that the contents were disseminated through the conferences and brought about a change in the concepts and the way of dealing with developments and emergencies in human life that come without warning, such as the war that Sudan is witnessing.
The Executive Director of the Mohafizun Initiative, Dr. Abdel Moneim Mohamed Abdel Moneim, said that the psychological and social support programs in the shelters have given the youth of the Mohafizon Initiative a good opportunity to provide services to these arrivals through the program and paragraphs prepared in several directions within the shelters and according to segments and groups such as children, the elderly and others.
Shindi Youth and Sports Department has implemented psychological and social support programs in several squares of Shindi city including Square (20), (15), (16), (24) and Quraish neighborhood.
Former Nile State Minister of Youth and Sports Louay Mustafa and Shendi Locality Executive Director Khaled Abdel Ghaffar Al-Sheikh witnessed several of these programs.
