Customs forces revealed a number of seizures made during the last period, among which were the seizure of 35 kilograms of gold, 34 different carts, 439 kilograms of ice crystals, 60 kilograms of cocaine, 4 kilograms of heroin and 15 kilograms of Marguna drugs, 262 heads of camels, 202 heads of sheep, and that there were significant seizures of weapons, ammunition, food, raw materials and fuel.

The Director General of the Sudanese Customs Forces, General Salah Ahmed Ibrahim, said on Thursday at the regular podium of the Ministry of Interior:

Salah revealed that a number of officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers participated in the battle of Karama on the front lines with the Sudanese Armed Forces in their war against the Rapid Support Militia. He stressed that the Customs Presidency, as part of the war. social responsibility, supported civil society organizations in building health, education and water institutions, in addition to establishing and maintaining water stations, monitoring wells, supporting evacuations, shelter camps and alert committees in all states.

He stressed that passengers' personal luggage is exempt from customs duties, but it is certain that commercial goods are subject to the provision of documents such as the certificate of establishment, invoices, shipping note, policy and delivery permit, stressing that the objectives of customs to facilitate international trade, simplify customs procedures, fair and efficient collection of revenue and protect society and the economy, customs also protects society from harmful, adulterated and expired materials that do not meet the technical requirements of health, pharmacy, toxicology. specifications, standards, quality, quarantine, agricultural, veterinary and others.

Regarding monetary policies, he said that customs implements foreign exchange policies with the need to extract export (EX) and import (IM) formats and provide the Central Bank of Sudan with information to confirm the completion of export procedures to collect export revenues and monitor the trade balance and balance of payments.
