Signing of the framework agreement between the Federal Health Service and the International Committee of the Red Cross
The Government of Sudan, represented by the Federal Ministry of Health, and the International Committee of the Red Cross, signed on Thursday the Framework Agreement for Health Programs funded by the International Committee, with a view to launching health activities in the country, which include several axes, including support for health programs and direct strengthening of emergency response capacities.
A representative of the ministry, Dr. Najm Al-Din Al-Majzoub, in a press statement following the signing, said that the agreement also includes supporting hospitals, providing supplies and organizing basic courses in the field of emergency first aid, as well as pre-hospital care and programs to obtain health services, in addition to continuing the role played by the committee, which plays a neutral intermediary role by facilitating many services between the different parties, evacuating the wounded and moving to conflict zones.
Al-Majzoub considered the signing as the beginning of supply operations and health activities, noting that it will take effect on the day of its signing, which allows the return of many programs after this signing.
It is worth noting that Al-Majzoub signed on behalf of the Ministry and on behalf of the International Committee, Ms. Dorsa Nazemi, Director of Operations and Deputy Head of the Mission in Sudan.
