Northern Governor inspects people affected by rain and floods in Umm Al-Qura area

The Governor of the Northern State, Mr. Abdeen Awadallah, has directed relevant authorities to address the problem of rainwater and floodwater drainage by opening the drains.

He pledged to provide a brick machine to rebuild the houses that had completely collapsed.

This came when he, accompanied by the Security Committee and members of the state government, inspected the people affected by rains and floods in the area of ​​Umm Al-Qura, in the locality of Dongola.

The state governor expressed solidarity with those affected

The Executive Director of Dongola Locality, Dr. Makkawi Al-Khair, spoke, referring to the losses suffered by the area, listing the number of houses that were completely damaged, including 34 houses and 122 partially collapsed, in addition to schools and the club in the area.

It is confirmed that work will be carried out to resolve the problem of rainwater and floodwater drainage.

For his part, the Director General of the Ministry of Health of the North, Dr Sati Hassan Sati, announced the organization of a weekend campaign to fight against disease vectors, confirming the availability of pesticides and spray pumps.
