Cotton Company sends convoy to flood-affected people in Arbaat and Tur

In the presence of the Governor of Red Sea State, Lieutenant General Mustafa Muhammad Nour, the Sudan Cotton Corporation sent a convoy of humanitarian aid to people affected by floods in the Tokar and Arbaa regions, at a cost of around £50 million.
The Governor of the Red Sea, Lieutenant General Mustafa Mohamed Nour, praised the role played by the Sudan Cotton Company in supporting those affected by the floods in Arbaat and Tur, indicating that the participation of civil administrations in this inauguration represents the interest in this support.
The governor added that concerted efforts are important to overcome this disaster and move forward as quickly as possible towards reconstruction and construction, indicating that all capacities are being exploited to overcome this challenge resulting from torrents and rains in the Tokar and Arbaa regions.
Superintendent Muhammad Al-Amin Turk said that the torrents and floods in the areas of Tokar and Arbaa were beyond the capacity of citizens given the blocking of roads and the flooding of many villages, praising the efforts of the Sudan Cotton Company, which sent a convoy to mitigate the resulting effects.
Maash Police Major General Ahmed Babiker, representing the Sudan Cotton Company, said that the company, as part of its social responsibility, provided this convoy in order to alleviate the suffering of those affected by this disaster, designating other convoys that will be sent during the coming period so that all those affected can recover what they suffered from the effects of torrents and floods.
Khor Arbaat region representative Abdullah Obshar praised what the Cotton Company has done to support those affected by the floods, stressing that the concerted efforts contribute to mitigating the resulting effects.
