Visiting China is a step in the right direction – The Face of Truth – ✍️ Ibrahim Shaqlawi

The visit of Sudanese President Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan to the People's Republic of China, which began yesterday to attend the China-Africa Cooperation Forum Summit, is one of the most important visits at a time when Sudan is seeking a genuine My friends, China has remained Sudan's first strategic economic partner… In recent years, it has also been present in all economic, development and diplomatic issues. As we know, China respects the sovereignty of countries and does not interfere in their internal affairs and adopts the system of participatory economy that allows countries to move forward without restrictions and dictates… as it has continued to regard Sudan as one of the most promising countries in Africa for investment… because it is attractive. opportunities in important economic sectors, such as energy, oil, livestock and agricultural wealth, and dams… in addition to the fact that it is considered an important entry point to Africa… in addition to the fact that Sudan is a large market for Chinese products… this is in addition to the deepening of relations Diplomacy and popularity… based on a historical colonial approach between the two countries, since Gordon Pasha represented the face of colonialism in China before Sudan and practiced forms of arrogance and arrogance, because the end of his arrogance in Sudan was due to the Mahdist revolution… These ties represented an old friendship, since the year 1959 AD saw the first emergence of diplomatic relations between the two countries. China has provided a number of effective development projects for the economic and social development of Sudan and contributed to the modern renaissance of Sudan in light of the unilateral economic sanctions imposed by the United States of America on Sudan over the past thirty years, which represented the rule of President Al-Bashir. China is a current partner alongside the Sudanese people through energy, oil and infrastructure projects. We all know its contribution to the construction of the Sudanese dam system, the Merowe Dam, the raising of the Roseires. The dam, the Upper Atbara and Setit dam complex, airports, bridges, residential cities and power lines, in addition to water harvesting projects, where relations have reached their peak in the exchange of benefits between the two countries until the announcement of a strategic partnership, according to which bilateral relations have entered a new historical stage. It can be said that the economic relations between Sudan and China are considered one of the positive models of international economic cooperation, as the two countries have the elements of an effective and productive partnership. Sudan, thanks to its geopolitical location overlooking the Red Sea, which represents the heart of Africa, is rich in remarkable economic resources, and China needs these resources to accelerate its economic growth and development. Sudan is also considered one of the first countries to respond to China's Belt and Road Initiative, which represents an economic strategy for China's national development, which aims to connect China to global markets in terms of resources, markets, investment in infrastructure, railways, energy and economic cooperation. strengthen popular ties between China and countries of the world, especially Africa and the Middle East region. We must therefore work to take advantage of this visit of President Al-Burhan and his ministerial cabinet to activate joint cooperation protocols in the economic field. and commercial aspects, aspects related to infrastructure, reconstruction and strategic projects in the fields of mining, water, agriculture, livestock and energy… Some may also consider this visit in terms of military procurement and cooperation. the war that Sudan has been waging since last year against rebel forces supported at the regional and international level… Sudan must move towards strengthening its military capabilities at all levels in order to be able to quickly resolve the war and move towards reconstruction and construction… but the face of the truth lies in the importance of strengthening the economic partnership and all strategic partnerships with this country, which respects the sovereignty of states and does not interfere in their internal affairs, and strives to exchange benefits in a way that ensures security, peace and human well-being. Therefore, China's visit remains a step in the right direction, I hope it will be invested appropriately for the benefit of the Sudanese people who yearn for stability, security and economic development.

May you always be well..
