Cairo hosts the celebration of Arab Volunteer Day: September 14-17, 2024, with the participation of 16 Arab countries, honoring influential and media figures and signing international and local agreements.

Under the slogan “The role of the media in developing volunteering”, the Arab Volunteering Federation celebrates the Arab Volunteering Day, which falls on September 15 of each year, during a distinguished ceremony in which a number of influential figures from the volunteering community are honored, in addition to honoring prominent media figures who have effectively contributed to promoting the culture of volunteering and raising awareness of the importance of humanitarian work.

A committee was formed to celebrate, headed by Dr. Hisham Salah Al-Din Al-Rayda, Vice President of the Arab Union for Voluntary Work, Chairman of the Committee, and the membership of Mr. Abdulaziz Rashid Al-Sindi from the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mr. Al-Adel Al-Sayed from Mauritania, Mr. Fenis Saad Al-Ajmi from the State of Kuwait and Dr. Khaled Hassan from the Republic of Egypt. The committee began its work a month ago to professionally organize the celebration. , and within the framework of the program prepared by the committee, the celebration will take place at the Triumph Plaza Hotel in Cairo and in the ((Aton)) Hall

During the ceremony, speeches on this occasion will be part of the celebration program: a speech by Dr. Yousef bin Ali Al-Kadhim, Chairman of the Arab Union for Voluntary Work

And a speech by Dr. Hassan Eid Bukhammas (member of the House of Representatives), Honorary Chairman of the Bahrain Voluntary Work Society. The content of the speech concerns the new initiative for children aged 12 to 17 years of the Bahrain Voluntary Work Society for the second year. An award will be launched in the name of the late Dr. Kazem Nouri Al-Douri, who played a major role in the Union's journey for twenty-one years. El-Din Al-Raida, Vice President of the Arab Union for Voluntary Work, will speak in detail about the award. Several international and local cooperation agreements will also be signed with organizations and entities related to voluntary work, with the aim of expanding the work. the scope of humanitarian initiatives and strengthening joint efforts to serve society in various fields. These agreements included projects aimed at improving education, health and the environment, as well as supporting groups in need, reflecting a strong commitment to promoting a culture of giving and caring.

The events also included official visits to a number of entities and institutions working in the field of volunteering and social service, with the aim of exchanging experiences and strengthening ongoing cooperation. The importance of these visits in building bridges of communication and cooperation between the different parties to achieve common goals.

This is not the first time that a new project is launched in the name of the retired volunteer ((House of Expertise)), who will play a major role in participating in many projects in the field of expertise, such as industry – economy – environment – education – sports – engineering – law – culture – health – technology – Social – media.

Dr. Yousef Al-Kazem, President of the Arab Federation for Volunteer Work, stressed that honoring influential media figures reflects the important role they play in spreading the values ​​of volunteering and inspiration, calling for continued joint efforts to achieve more achievements in the field of volunteering. this field.
