CNPC Group CEO Announces Implementation of Several Oil Projects in Sudan

Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, on the sidelines of his participation in the China-Africa Cooperation Forum Summit, visited today the headquarters of the Chinese oil group CNPC, which is one of the largest companies operating in the field of oil industry and extraction in Sudan.

During the visit, the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council received a further explanation from Mr. Dai Houliang, CEO of CNPC Group, on the company's future plans, programs and projects in Sudan.

The CEO affirmed the group's enthusiasm, desire and readiness to support and implement oil projects in Sudan, to contribute to the reconstruction of oil installations destroyed by the rebel terrorist militia, to continue oil exploration work in the country and to develop the oil sector.

The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council held a meeting with the management of CNPC Group, during which the meeting highlighted the prospects for joint cooperation in the field of industry and development of the oil sector and expansion in the field of new oil exploration in Sudan.

For his part, Acting Minister of Energy and Petroleum Dr. Muhyiddin Naeem Muhammad Saeed said in a press release that the meeting was fruitful as it ensured the role of the company in developing the oil sector in Sudan. currently working in Block (6), stressing that the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council stressed the importance of continuing economic relations between the two countries and overcoming all obstacles and challenges facing the company in carrying out its exploration activities, advancing oil areas. development, settling the company's debts and expanding new exploration activities.

His Excellency stressed that the Chinese company represents a lifeline for the oil sector following the sabotage that affected oil installations due to the destruction carried out by rebel terrorist militias in this vital sector.

The Acting Minister of Energy and Petroleum added that the meeting constitutes a major and real breakthrough in the process of strategic economic cooperation between the two countries and the development of the oil industry in Sudan, expressing his hope that the visit of the President of the Sovereignty The visit to China will mark the beginning of more joint cooperation between Sudan and China in all fields.

His Excellency said that the CNPC represents a model of great economic cooperation between the two countries and has contributed to the transfer of oil manufacturing technology and the training of Sudanese executives in this field.
