The Thirtieth Meeting of the Supreme Emergency Committee in Kassala State: Detailed Reports on the Management of Expatriate Accommodation Centers and Recommendations for Improving Conditions

Major General Ma'ash Al-Sadiq Muhammad Al-Azraq, Governor of Kassala State, chaired in the Cabinet Hall of the Government Secretariat the thirtieth meeting of the Supreme Emergency Committee for the Management of Expatriate Accommodation Centers, in the presence of the Secretary of State. General of the Government and Minister of Social Affairs, the Governor listened to the detailed reports of the specialized committees for housing, accommodation, expulsion, subsistence and security of expatriates. The authors of the report explained the urgent need to complete the construction and preparation of sanitation centers. transport and dispose of waste, and combat vectors and epidemics. According to the representative of the Red Crescent, the number of registered families arriving in Kassala State reached 90,468 families inside and outside the accommodation centers in different localities of the state. The need to expel the arrivals to the designated accommodation centers for their expulsion in order to avoid an environmental disaster and to establish health centers to treat and provide first aid to patients inside the camps, also recommended the importance of completing the electricity connection to all the facilities in the camp. The committee stressed the importance of education and awareness-raising to change behaviors through listening and monitoring clubs and mobile broadcasting through neighborhoods, citizens' gathering places, places of worship, the rapporteur of the Supreme Emergency Committee, Maher Al-Hussein, the heads of the working committees.

We have been diligently filling the gaps to ensure the comfort of expatriate citizens. The Governor hailed the committee and appreciated its efforts, expressing his thanks to all partners, philanthropists, civil society organizations and international organizations that have contributed to alleviating the suffering of expatriates.
