Transitional Sovereignty Council Chairman Calls on China-Africa Cooperation Forum to Classify Rapid Support Militia as Terrorist Group

The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, said that what Sudan has been exposed to since April 15, 2023, represents a major conspiracy, in which the terrorist rebel Rapid Support militias were used for its implementation.
Speaking today at the opening session of the Belt and Road meeting of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum currently being held in Beijing, Al-Burhan explained that the militia aims, through its rebellion, to seize power by force of arms and serve the ambitions of evil -advised regional powers. Stressing that it is waging war against defenseless citizens and targeting entire state institutions in a way that threatens the existence of the Sudanese state and its territorial integrity.
Stressing that everything that the Sudanese people are currently suffering is the result of the rebellion of this militia, which has become a threat to local and regional security and peace. The President of the Sovereignty Council called on the participants in the China-Africa Forum Summit to classify this militia as a terrorist group, contribute to its elimination, denounce its actions and condemn cooperation with it.
Stressing that many of the crimes he has committed and is still committing qualify as war crimes and crimes against humanity. Stressing that what happened in the town of El Geneina in West Darfur State is not far from our minds.
Al-Burhan stressed the importance of China-Africa cooperation in coping with challenges, political fluctuations and international ambitions.
His Excellency called on African brothers to play a positive and supportive role in helping Sudan achieve peace and stability. Stressing the need to reconsider the freeze on Sudan's membership in the African Union, given its importance for security and peace in the region and its need for reconstruction and reconstruction.
The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council expressed his thanks and appreciation to the brotherly and friendly African countries that have supported Sudan during this critical period. He said that Sudan longs for and looks forward to a central role of China in complementing the government's efforts to rehabilitate and rebuild what has been destroyed by the war in Sudan.
