Nile State health officials report 82 new cholera cases

The River Nile State Ministry of Health has announced the recording of new cholera cases in the daily report prepared by the Investigation and Information Section of the Department of Emergency Management and Epidemic Control.

The report said that 82 new cases were recorded in the state, most of them from the localities of Atbara, Berber and Al-Damer.

The locality of Al-Damer recorded the highest number of cases of infection, 47 cases, followed by the locality of Atbara, 17 cases, then the Berber locality, 13 cases, and one case each in the localities of Abu Hamad and Al-Buhaira, and three cases crossing the road. while one case died in the locality of Al-Damer and one case in the Berber locality, and the number of people hospitalized in isolation centers reached 210 cases.

This brings the cumulative number of infections in the state to 700 cases, the number of deaths to 30 cases and the cumulative number of recoveries to 460 cases.
