Dr. Farouk Faisal, Executive Director of the National Health Insurance Fund, Nile Branch, met this afternoon in his office at the head of the Fund in Atbara, with Dr. Magda Abdullah, Minister of Health in charge of the Nile State, in the presence of Dr. Al-Farabi Ibrahim Mustafa, Director of the Health Services Department, and Professor Osama Mahmoud Al-Hadi, Director of the Population Coverage Department at the National Health Insurance Fund.

The meeting discussed ways to eliminate the cholera epidemic, as the National Health Insurance Fund, for its part, pledged to provide direct support to the state isolation centers in Atbara, Al-Dammar, Berber and Shendi, and to provide bypass routes for cholera patients in the isolation centers, in addition to providing a means of travel for the intervention team to continue its work to combat the epidemic.

As for the preventive aspect, the Fund continued to provide its support and contribution by actively participating in environmental health cleaning markets.

Following the meeting, the two sides agreed to organize a free treatment camp for those affected by floods and rains in Al-Tashhab area in Al-Ubaidiya for three days, in partnership between the National Health Insurance Fund and the Ministry of Health and Al-Nahda Company for Medical Equipment.
