Shendi: Implementing Advanced Transformative Training Courses for Youth
Shindi General Administration of Youth and Sports has introduced advanced courses in the transformational training program implemented by the administration by opening fields for the youth in the internal and external job market.
Director of the General Administration of Youth and Sports in Shindi Locality Muzammil Sayed Ahmed Abdel Rahman said that Shindi Youth Center has opened diploma courses in exclusive programs in Khartoum and Port Sudan, such as customs administration, airport management, air hospitality, aviation sciences and travel and tourism agency management.
Muzammil Sayyed Ahmed said that there are small courses in the fields of air cargo, aviation language, warehouse management and automated flight ticket booking.
The Director of Shindi Youth and Sports Department explained that these courses are now available at Shindi Youth Centre and have opened new horizons for local and expatriate youth to benefit from these courses in these different fields.
For his part, Professor Mirghani Abdel Hafeez, a specialist and supervisor of these courses, said that Shindi had attended courses in these fields more than three years ago and that it was the third city in Sudan after Khartoum and Port Sudan to implement such advanced courses.
Mirghani Abdel Hafeez pointed out that many training centers and institutes that were operating in Khartoum were transferred after the war to many cities in Sudan, such as Kassala, Gedaref, Atbara and others, but Shendi introduced these programs more than three years ago.
Mirghani Abdul Hafeez revealed the need of the local market for such programs, whether it is diplomas or transformative training courses for the youth. He said that the number of travel, tourism and shipping agencies has increased from just two agencies to about ten agencies working in these fields. This is in addition to the great opportunities available in the external job market.
