Khartoum journalists in Shindi create an unprecedented media and social movement

Mahfouz Abdeen, a member of the executive board of the Khartoum Journalists Association, said: The association has created a major and unprecedented media movement in the locality of Shendi, in the Nile State and at the national level. Mahfouz Abdeen added in his interview with Khartoum and Shendi radios, broadcast jointly between the two radio stations with the participation of colleagues, the journalist designer Abu Zaid Titawi, the bass engineer of the national television Hossam Farouk and the director of Wafaa television Mahmoud Zein al-Abidin: he added that the national institutions of Shendi, such as the 3rd Infantry Division, Shendi University, the security and intelligence services, the police and local authorities… Shendi praised this effort made by the Association, and all these institutions celebrated in their role within the Association their appreciation for this great media movement, which found appreciation and acceptance from the federal government and the various states of Sudan, such as Khartoum, Sennar and Gedaref.

Mahfouz Abdeen, a member of the Khartoum Journalists Association in Shindi, said that the members of the association have contributed their media expertise to media institutions in Shendi, such as radio and television, developing YouTube channels and publishing electronic newspapers, such as the newspaper (Nahr al-Nile), published daily and widely distributed and headed by Abu Zaid Titawi and Mahfouz Abdeen and Balala Al-Bashari.

And the economic newspaper (Al-Anwar), directed by Elias Abdel Rahman and Rehab Abdullah.

Mahfouz Abdine revealed that the cooperation in the media field between the Association and the major institutions in the locality of Shendi aims to develop institutional media, as the commander of the 3rd Infantry Division in Shendi, Major General Hamdan Abdel Qader, called on the members of the Association during his speech to meet them at the Division to contribute and take charge of the edition of the electronic newspaper published by the 3rd Division on behalf of (Al-Shamaa) during the coming period.

The member of the association stressed that there is a partnership between the association and the Security and Intelligence Service in a number of projects that serve the media cause by supporting the challenges facing the country.

The member of the association praised the great cooperation shown by the executive director of Shendi locality, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar Al-Sheikh, and Arkan Harbah with the association, working to overcome difficulties and participating in all the programs and activities of the association, even those that were outside the city in the neighborhoods of Kabushi, Sardiyeh and Housh Banga.

Mahfouz Abdeen, a member of the Association, listed the Association's efforts in the battle of Karama through its coverage of all the camps in Karama, alert operations, popular resistance activities and coverage of the war effort through its great cooperation with the Military Orientation, Services and Information Division of the Third Infantry Division in Shindi.

In the social field, Mahfouz Abdine indicated that the Association carried out the first exhibition of school and winter supplies at the start of the school year in the River Nile State, which began in extremely complex security conditions. The Association contributed, through media work, to the stability of the school year until its end.

The association provided extensive media coverage of the Flag Day in River Nile State, which took place in Shendi and Matama towns last February, and its message was that southern River Nile State was safe.

Mahfouz Abdeen said that the association has participated in environmental sanitation and health awareness programs, campaigns to combat disease vectors and projects undertaken by the Shindi media department, such as the Dignity and Security Forum, Everyone's Responsibility.

Mahfouz Abdeen, a member of the association, spoke about many community initiatives carried out by the members of the association, such as the “Dad, you are not alone” initiative at the retirement home every week, and the initiatives that celebrated his seventieth birthday with the armed forces.
