Discuss strengthening the Qatar Red Crescent's humanitarian response in Gedaref State and supporting health services and shelters.

Gedaref Governor Lt. Gen. Mohamed Ahmed Hassan discussed today during the joint meeting with the Executive Director of the Qatar Red Crescent Dr. Salah Al-Daak in the administrative capital of Sudan, discussed ways to strengthen the humanitarian interventions of the Qatar Red Crescent in Gedaref State.

The governor praised the important and appreciated role of the Qatari Red Crescent in supporting Sudan and Gedaref State in the past periods, calling for more humanitarian interventions in shelters, providing health services in the fields of kidneys, increasing the capacity of oxygen and wastewater station in Gedaref Hospital, water services and supporting a unified kitchen.

For his part, Dr. Salah Al-Daak, Executive Director of the Qatar Red Crescent, confirmed the organization's continued support to Gedaref State in all areas. He pledged to provide two thousand food baskets over the next two days, in addition to water. He revealed the projects that will be implemented in Gedaref during the coming period by providing ten dialysis machines and supporting an operating room, confirming his visit to the state during the coming period.
