The Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Forestry of River Nile State and the Executive Director of Shendi Locality inspect a number of agricultural projects in the locality and stress the importance of expanding agricultural areas to increase production and support exports.

The Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Forestry of the Nile State, Salah El-Din Ali Mohamed Ahmed Karkaba, confirmed that the strategy of his ministry is to provide all modern agricultural inputs, provide solar energy units and work on electricity for agricultural projects, fertilizers and pesticides to enter the winter season. He called during his visit to the locality of Shendi to rise and ensure early preparation for the winter season with a number of agricultural projects, including the Kabushi and Tala projects, accompanied by the Executive Director of Shendi. Locality, Mr. Khaled Abdul Ghaffar Al-Sheikh, the head of the Department of Agriculture, Engineer Salah Al-Mamoun, the Director of Agriculture of the locality, Engineer Muhammad Musa, and a number of agricultural departments of the ministry. The minister stressed the need to expand agricultural areas and focus on strategic crops, especially wheat processing. The minister said that the Tala project is one of the pioneering agricultural projects that contributed to achieving high productivity of winter crops, in addition to being distinguished by the need to expand agricultural areas and focus on strategic crops. diversity of many export products, especially in terms of meat export, the minister ordered the management of the Kabushieh project to increase the efficiency of irrigation systems and operate all the pumps in the Kabushieh agricultural project.

On the other hand, the Executive Director of Shendi Locality, Mr. Khaled Abdul Ghaffar Al-Sheikh, stressed his interest in overcoming all the obstacles facing the agricultural sector, stressing that agriculture represents a strategic axis for the locality to rehabilitate, develop and improve agricultural projects in order to achieve food security, Khaled called for taking advantage of preferential benefits and diversity of agricultural products in manufacturing industries and commended the Executive Director for the high productivity of agricultural projects and their support for production and productivity. Mr. Khaled referred to his local plan aimed at increasing exports.

The head of the Department of Agriculture, Engineer Salah Al-Mamoun, confirmed that the visit aimed to verify and reassure on the early preparation for the winter season and eliminate the obstacles it faces.

A number of farmers praised the tremendous efforts made by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Shendi locality and their solution to all the problems of the project.
