Conclusion of the campaign against the cholera epidemic in Boud Al-Heliw and Kassala
Today, Saturday, the Expanded Program on Immunization concluded the response campaign to the cholera epidemic in Kassala State in the two localities of (Wad Al-Helew and Kassala), while the coverage rate yesterday, Thursday, reached 89%.
He ordered the meeting of the Federal House to follow up on the progress of the campaign, which was held today, Friday, at the reproductive health hall in the city of Kassala.
By intensifying home visits today and tomorrow, Saturday, and physically inventorying the accommodation centers and confirming their complete coverage, as well as inventorying the remaining vaccine and distributing it to other centers, while addressing technical errors early if they exist, as well as starting the preparation of the final unified report on the campaign.
House Speaker Muhammad Al-Hussein said in a statement after the meeting that the campaign continues today, Friday, in its fifth day, and tomorrow, Saturday, in its sixth and final day, which is going well. The coverage rate of 89% on the fourth day of yesterday is the required percentage, indicating that ages from 1 year are targeted. Those above and those who have not been vaccinated before, or who have not received the vaccination in recent days, call on citizens to rush to the centers.
Al-Hussein appreciated the role of volunteers and supervisors in carrying out the campaign in the required manner and added: “We have not been informed of any significant side effects resulting from receiving the vaccine, thank God.
