The Secretary General of the Center for Persons with Disabilities, Mr. Moatasem Mohamed Hassan, welcomed the interest of the Ministry of Finance and Manpower of Kassala State in the issues of persons with disabilities and their support.

The director of the center said during his speech at the scientific workshop entitled (How to deal with disability), organized by the center in the training and capacity building hall of the city of Kassala, that the workshop is part of the center's interest in organizing scientific workshops and training courses that contribute to raising the level of awareness about the problems of people with disabilities, explained that the center has resumed its activities with these educational workshops with the aim of presenting disability, its types and causes. and how to deal with a person with disabilities. The general director of the Center pledged to organize more of these scientific workshops in the coming period. For his part, the expert on disability, Professor Nabil Shams El-Din, stressed the importance of this type of workshops. awareness of the community in dealing with this segment and integrating it into society. He also addressed the issue of the building code recommended in the international agreement ratified by the State to facilitate the accessibility process, while Dr. Suhair Siddiq Youssef, Chairman of the Center's Board of Directors, spoke about the role of women with disabilities and led the development of relationships and partnerships with various parties.

In addition, Rehab Ahmed, Director of Financial Affairs at the Ministry, praised the great role played by the center and pledged to support it in all its programs aimed at deepening the connection between disability and society. Najda Muhammad Abdel Rahim spoke at the workshop about the factors and causes that lead to mentality problems, while Zahraa Oshik, an expert in the field of sign language, highlighted the words and symbols used in sign language.
