Deputy Governor, Director General of the Ministry of Social Development, Omar Othman Adam, confirmed the stability of the security situation in the state, explaining that the regular forces are working in perfect harmony to help the community maintain security, and stressed the need for vigilance and caution.

He said in his speech at the first press conference of the Electronic Press Association, Kassala branch, that the state is facing many pressures as the number of displaced people has reached 100,000, given the limited resources of the state. For his part, the Director General of the Ministry of Education and Guidance, Maher Al-Hussein, said that most of the shelters, which have 292 accommodation centers across the state, depend on what the people of Kassala provide them. Expatriate teachers registered by the ministry, and after the opening of schools, they will be accommodated in case of shortage.

Al-Hussein stressed that schools will be open next Sunday, unless a health emergency occurs, and he announced to teachers that a grant is provided to them by one of the organizations, which will be implemented before the end of this year. the state to ensure the salaries of teachers so that they can fully fulfill their mission.

Al-Hussein praised the role of the organizations supporting the Ministry of Education in all aspects and said that Al-Karama Camp was established on the shoulders of the organizations and huge amounts of money were donated to establish the camp.

Meanwhile, the executive director of Kassala locality, Idris Muhammad Ali, announced the promulgation of a law that prohibits the indiscriminate disposal of waste and imposes a penalty on anyone who violates the decision. He explained that a campaign will be organized on Friday to clean the locality of Kassala. market and distribute bags of waste, and those who do not commit to maintaining cleanliness and depositing waste in the places will be attributed to him.

Idris said that what the state suffers from is poor planning of markets and neighborhoods, and the accumulation of waste and stagnant water, for which a plan has been developed to change the work methodology and manage the locality in a new and modern way, stressing that these problems are being resolved.

Idris explained that there is support from an organization to build an incinerator outside the locality, which is currently under construction, as well as wastewater dumps.

Furthermore, the Minister of Health in charge of Kassala State, Ali Adam, revealed a decrease in cholera cases, as 95 cases were recorded yesterday, and the cumulative number of all cases reached (5) thousand. He added: “Great efforts have been made to contain this epidemic.
