The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council meets the President of the Central African Republic

The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, met today in New York with the President of the Central African Republic, Faustin Touadera. This took place on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The meeting focused on bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to support prospects for joint cooperation in various fields. Especially since the two countries share common borders that could constitute a real opportunity for the exchange of benefits and interests.
The meeting also discussed coordination between the two countries in combating security threats targeting the safety and stability of citizens of both countries.
The two presidents stressed the need to secure the common border between the two countries by intensifying the work of security points on the border so that it does not become a hotbed of mercenary and rebel activities and does not contribute to destabilizing the security and stability of the two countries.
