The President of the Sovereignty Council meets the Minister of International Development of the Kingdom of Norway

Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, spoke on the sidelines of the meetings of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York with Ms. Anne. Beth Tevenerem, Minister of International Development of the Kingdom of Norway.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Hussein Awad Ali, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Ambassador Al-Harith Idris, Permanent Representative of Sudan to the United Nations in New York.
During the meeting, the cooperative relations between the two countries were reviewed and the meeting also addressed the developments in Sudan and many issues in the region.
The Chairman of the Sovereign Council expressed Sudan's aspiration to continue joint cooperation with the Kingdom of Norway and raise it to the desired level that meets the common ambitions of the two countries.
His Excellency provided an explanation to the Minister of International Development of the Kingdom of Norway on the course and development of events in Sudan and the treacherous attack launched by the rebel terrorist militia against the Sudanese state.
For her part, the Minister of International Development of the Kingdom of Norway affirmed her enthusiasm and support for efforts aimed at achieving peace in Sudan and ending the suffering of citizens, and expressed her country's aspiration to make advance, consolidate and strengthen bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries in various fields.
