The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, has renewed the readiness of the Sudanese government to engage in any genuine initiative aimed at achieving peace and ending to war in accordance with what had been previously agreed. which would contribute to the return of citizens to their homes and allow rescue teams to fulfill their role.

During the press conference he held at the headquarters of the Sudanese mission in New York, in the presence of foreign media and international news agencies, His Excellency affirmed the government's desire to end the war and restore peace and security in Sudan, and said: “We seek to engage in any serious initiative aimed at ending the war without any diktat, precondition or intervention from the party calling for an end to the war.

His Excellency said: “All the initiatives presented were not in line with the national vision and were not owned by the Sudanese, which contributed to their failure. They also did not take into account the demands of the Sudanese which could lead to a resolution. and end ongoing wars and end the series of military coups.

Al-Burhan renewed the commitment of the armed forces, based on their constitutional duty, to preserve the achievements of the Sudanese state entity, to protect national sovereignty and to deter all aggressors or those who depend on the decision of the State towards any regional power or force that wants to colonize with a new face that operates in isolation from the international system.

He stressed that the armed forces are one of the oldest institutions and are considered a pillar of stability in Sudan and the region and will defend and protect the gains of the state. He said: “We affirm our commitment to transfer power as soon as possible. the situation stabilizes thanks to civil authority. ” He said: “If there is a national consensus, we will hand over power to them or hold elections with the participation of all Sudanese to choose who will lead the country.

Al-Burhan said the armed forces are not hostages of any political force. He said: “What is being promoted that these forces are controlled by the Islamic Movement and the return of the old regime is one of the covers and pretexts used to destroy. country. » He said: “There is media misinformation and political gain regarding what is happening in Sudan. »

Al-Burhan reviewed the conspiracies against Sudan with the participation of internal political forces and some regional and international forces, which aim to change power by force of arms. He said: “This project has been planned for some time and there was hope. that the civilian forces working at that time would respond to requests. » The armed forces and compatibility with other political forces and the armed forces to make Sudan secure after the glorious revolution led by the Sudanese people in December.

Al-Burhan referred to the violations committed by the Al-Dagalo terrorist militia and said: “After the militia failed to take power, it killed citizens”, which led to the displacement of the Sudanese people . a colonialism with a new face that violates international laws.

Stressing that the war waged by the militias is not aimed at restoring democracy or fighting the army, but rather to starve the Sudanese and destroy the Sudanese state.
