Dr. Fahd Al-Dhafiri, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Sudan, and the embassy crew launches the Sudan Humanitarian Aid Commission, tomorrow Wednesday, in the port of Port Sudan, the humanitarian ship provided by the Kuwaiti Relief Society in cooperation with Turkey Humanitarian Relief Organization at a cost of over two million dollars to support and bring relief to people affected by torrents, floods and war in Sudan.

Ambassador Al-Dhafiri said that this assistance comes in accordance with the directives of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect and preserve him, as an incarnation of the solidarity of Kuwaitis. with the brothers of Sudan and an affirmation of the depth of brotherhood towards the brotherly Sudanese people.

The inauguration ceremony will take place in the presence of the Sudanese Minister of Information, Graham Abdelkader, the Minister of Transport, Engineer Abu Bakr Abu Al-Qasim, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hussein Al-Amin, of the undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ministry of Finance, Abdullah Ibrahim, and the Sudanese Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid, Dr. Salwa Adam, the Director General of the Sudan Ports Authority, Mohamed Hassan Mukhtar, and members of the Sudan Humanitarian Emergency Committee.

Ambassador Al-Dhafiri explained that the ship, which he named (Sudan Ship), costs approximately 2.105 million US dollars and carries 2,500 tons of relief, food, shelter and health aid, including 2,000 tons provided by the Kuwait Relief Society and 500 tons. of the Turkish Relief Organization, and includes 150 containers of relief materials. It is considered the largest in terms of the amount of aid sent by the Kuwait Relief Society.

Ambassador Al-Dhafiri highlighted that the aid provided by the Kuwait Relief Society also continues by air, as a plane arrived yesterday carrying 10 tons of tents and food aid for those affected by the disasters torrential rains and floods, and he was delivered to the country. The Humanitarian Aid Commission, which is the 14th aircraft of the second Kuwaiti airlift, launched on August 14 last year, is still in operation.

Ambassador Al-Dhafiri also highlighted that the Kuwaiti humanitarian ship is the third, the first having arrived last September provided by the Kuwait Red Crescent Society in cooperation with the Egyptian Red Crescent, and the second last May and transporting medicines worth one million US dollars. dollars for the benefit of cancer patients provided by the Kuwait Red Crescent in cooperation with The King Salmane Relief Center is part of the partnership programs implemented by Kuwaiti humanitarian organizations and associations with a view to cooperation for humanitarian horizons increasingly broad, for the benefit and relief of people affected by disasters and crises all over the world.
