The number of accepted recommendations reached (244) out of a total of (283) recommendations , while he made (39) recommendations, during his meeting with the head of the Universal Periodic Review department of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, Mr. Qayyum Naqifa.
Mawlana Howaida also affirmed Sudan's efforts to advance the legislative reform agenda and harmonize laws with international and regional agreements to which Sudan is a party, as well as the need for capacity building, particularly in the area of drafting. reporting, as well as the need to give the rights of vulnerable groups who are first to be cared for, such as women, children and the elderly, due attention and focus on transitional justice issues.
She also informed him of the priorities imposed by the current conditions in which the country lives, including the systematic attacks and violations committed by the rapid support rebel militia, which require the strengthening of procedural and legal systems, monitoring systems, monitoring and documentation related to human rights and international cooperation in the areas of combating crimes related to human rights and investigating gender-based violations against them.
