Discussion on means of cooperation between the national human rights mechanism and the International Committee of the Red Cross
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, head of the delegation participating in the activities of the 57th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, met with Mawlana Howaida Ali Awad Al-Karim, regional director for Africa at the Committee International Justice. In addition to raising community awareness of international humanitarian law, training, rehabilitation and capacity building.
She highlighted the challenges facing the committee's work in the recent period due to the current circumstances.
Maulana/Howaida also praised the efforts of the International Committee of the Red Cross and its role in laying the foundations of international humanitarian law and helping those affected by wars and conflicts.
For his part, Mr. Patrick expressed the availability of his committee to cooperate with all parties and institutions through the National Committee for International Humanitarian Law, which is considered the coordinator of the work of the National Committee of the Red Cross in the country. stressed the importance of training in the field of international humanitarian law for law enforcement, and confirmed its willingness to provide technical support in this area.
