The Minister began his speech by thanking the Irish Medical Association for inviting him to participate in its fifth scientific conference in Dublin, and also thanked all health personnel, the White Army, who received the highest honor and has been the cornerstone of the response to the health situation in the country.

It also began with the good news that the end of the Rapid Support Militia was approaching, which was evident in the locality of Bahri and the commissioning of its hospitals after more than a year of shutdown.

In the second axis, the minister focused on the devastation that has hit the health sector and that this militia's war is not like the civil wars that Sudan has witnessed before. This is a war not only against the army, but also against the country's capabilities, against vital service institutions like electricity, water and hospitals, and even against the Sudanese human being.

The war resulted in the displacement of a quarter of the population from areas controlled by militias. It also resulted in the destruction of medical facilities and supplies, estimated at $11 billion.

In the third axis, the minister explained how the situation went from anxiety and lack of clarity of vision for many, to the dangers of dividing the country, and to the situation in which everyone expected a collapse complete health system, how this transformed into an efficient health system capable of benefiting from all efforts, and how health services reached all states and the achievements made under these circumstances, represented by the opening of 4 new hospitals and more than 20 specialized centers or units, the continuity of. 60% of health facilities, and the capacity to contain extremely dangerous outbreaks.

In the fourth axis, he mentioned the reasons for these successes – after the grace of Almighty God – the most important of which are the health personnel and their professional commitment inside and outside the country, clarity vision, state support and partnership leadership. for all without exception, by putting the Sudanese citizen at the center of the work.

In the last axis, the hope which is beginning to appear is that of defeating the militias and beginning the file of rehabilitation and construction of the health system, by presenting the broad outlines of the ten-year health strategy.

The minister spoke of the ministry's three-stage plan: response, then strengthening of the decentralized system, rehabilitation, then development and continued growth.

He called on everyone to participate in health development projects and contribute to nation building.

In conclusion, he thanked all doctors in the diaspora for their role and stressed the importance of coordination.
