Interior Ministry launches huge humanitarian convoy to war-affected states
The Ministry of Interior, under the patronage and honor of Acting Minister of Interior, Major General Maash Khalil Pasha Sairin, launched a huge humanitarian convoy aimed at tackling the current challenges in the affected states. The initiative took place under the slogan “The”. Ministry of the Interior…Towards a single and united society”, and was implemented as part of a charitable partnership with the Northern Cement Company.
The convoy included the distribution of 10,000 bags of flour and 60,000 leaves, which were allocated to support police, prison, customs, wildlife and civil protection units, based on the needs of each unit. The aid also included support for the country's police forces. the Balak camp and police units in the town of El Fasher, which is suffering from the siege and heavy fighting.
In a press release, Major General Maash Khalil Pasha Sairin said: “This convoy is part of the ministry's efforts to strengthen community solidarity and reduce the burden on the lives of its employees.”
Khalil Pasha highlighted that “the partnership with the Northern Cement Company was key in securing this support, which highlights the role of the private sector in supporting state institutions.”
Minister Sirin added that priority in distribution was directed to the most affected units, noting that 3,000 mobile phones had been allocated to support the armed forces in the areas of operations in Khartoum and Karari locality.
Sirin stressed the importance of continuing these initiatives to strengthen the steadfastness of ministry employees and the armed forces, calling for greater cooperation between the government and charitable agencies to overcome life's challenges.
