This Saturday morning, the Red Sea State organized the annual quarantine meeting in the Red Sea sector, from October 12 to 13, at the Shamandoura Hall in Port Sudan, under the slogan (Early Preparedness and Effective Response health threats at points of entry), in cooperation with the World Health Organization.

Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, Commissioner Dr. Ismat Mustafa Youssef said that quarantine is considered the first line of defense to protect the country from epidemics, emphasizing the need to work hand in hand for health of the Sudanese citizen.

For his part, the Director of National Quarantine, Dr. Al-Fatih Rabie stressed the need to protect the country against the entry of diseases and health threats through travelers, food or goods, indicating that all crossing points are ready to deal with emergencies at entry points (North, Gedaref, Kassala, White Nile, Red).
