Nile Deputy Governor and Minister of Culture, Information and Communications Mustafa Mohamed Othman Al-Sharif said that community radio plays a major role in raising citizens' awareness of national sentiment and security.
During his meeting with the Director of Shindi Radio, Engineer Al-Nazir Muhammad Ahmed Suleiman, he highlighted the importance of these radio stations in the education process in the social, health and educational fields, their close connection with the citizen and their role. in agricultural orientation, particularly in the different agricultural seasons.
The minister praised Radio Shendi and the programs it presents according to a distinguished program map, making its media message a model to follow.
Nile Deputy Governor and Minister of Culture and Information announced the establishment of a forum for local radio stations in the state, namely Radio Shendi, Al-Damer, Berber and Abu Hamad. The forum will discuss the development process of these radios. stations so that they can play their role and present their media message with high-quality content.
He stressed that this issue requires supporting these radio stations with modern and advanced devices and equipment, similar to those with which their counterparts around the world operate.
He revealed his ministry's intention to organize a joint workshop between the localities of Shendi and Al-Mutama to discuss certain issues from a strategic point of view in cooperation with a high-level academic institution.
For his part, the director of Shindi Radio, engineer Al-Nazir Mohamed Ahmed Suleiman, praised the great efforts made by the Ministry of Culture and Information on the Nile in order to provide a great media service that would be a support and support for the armed forces in the face of the culpable aggression to which the country is exposed.
He stressed that the praise received by the media for the Nile and its role in the Battle of Karama from the highest levels of the country is proof that this effort undertaken by the Ministry of Culture and Information on the Nile played his role. in the national movement and achieved its results by rallying the people behind his army.
