The Shendi General Criminal Court, presided over by Dr. Mawlana Imad Ahmed Al-Toum, sentenced the person accused of cooperating with Rapid Support to five years in prison and a fine of five million pounds, with additional imprisonment. of one year.

The court decided to find him guilty of aiding and abetting the receipt of stolen money, in violation of Article (26) read in conjunction with Article (181) of the Penal Code, and punished him with penalty of instigator provided for in article (25) of the Penal Code. Penal Code of 1991 AD for the occurrence of the crime in which he was an accomplice.

The court discussed the elements of the crime of communication with the enemy, with all its material and moral elements, and it was only proven to the court that the accused, in the Umbada area and in front of his house, used an umbrella to receive stolen goods from members of the Rapid Support Militia and some thieves (Al-Shafshafah) at a low price and dispose of them through sale. The prosecution's case was based on this, and that the accused did not deny purchasing linen. machines, screens and air conditioners from individuals of nationality of a neighboring country.

The hearing at which the judgment was pronounced was scheduled to hear witnesses for the defendant's defense that he had requested at a previous hearing, but he failed to summon them . The defense did not want to present its final conclusions to him and the court therefore closed the hearing. the case and pronounced the judgment during the same session, which was held in the Great Hall and in the presence of the first prosecutor and the legal advisor of the Ministry of Justice, and a large gathering of participants.
