On the occasion of the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists, the Sudanese Journalists' Union monitored the killing of 13 journalists, both men and women, since the start of the war in Sudan.

The publication of paper newspapers in Sudan has ceased since the start of the war, but the message of the press has not stopped and will not stop; it therefore continues to be present and strong through the electronic press and modern digital media, more widespread and more influential.
Despite the murders, torture, arrests, persecutions and security harassment to which the Sudanese journalist community has been subjected, it remains firm and fulfills its role fully and better than ever.
Sudanese journalists work in extremely complex conditions, some of them have chosen to work from Sudan and others have preferred to seek refuge in many countries around the world, but they still adhere to the alliance they have made with their Creator first and with their people then. .
Sudanese journalists live in disastrous humanitarian conditions. Some of them lie on the ground and look up to the sky, while others prefer to stay inside the battlefield to reflect the facts and document the course of events.
The nature of Her Majesty's profession, the first authority, is to rise through the ranks and take the lead in all matters, and her role in the war is doubled by documenting the crimes and atrocities committed during the war.
All their attempts to subjugate, humiliate and terrorize journalists using various means of seduction, intimidation and polarization, taking advantage of their situation and economic needs, have failed.
Targeting journalists and restricting them are old and new methods used by influential and corrupt people to cover up their outrageous scandals, but Her Majesty is watching them.
The outbreak of war does not in any way mean the absence or disappearance of journalism, but on the contrary, its role is doubled, its responsibility is shared and its value increases.
