Profiting and investing in popular crises has become a profession for those who do not have one – the last treatment – ✍️ Khaled Fadl Al-Sayyid

What happened to us as a people? Have we changed, or has time changed? The ideals, values and tolerant customs that we possessed and were proud of began to disappear little by little, and some people focused only on themselves, without taking into account feelings, feelings or compassion. towards others.

We have recently noticed that some bad practices have started to appear on the scene, which have nothing to do with ideals or values, but rather fall within the framework of greed, selfishness, love- own and the deviation from the norm to which some have resorted. earn money and invest in times of crises and disasters that citizens are going through, as some have started to wait for them to… Earn money in the simplest way, which has increased and complicated the crisis itself and has become a profession, not a profession.

What prompted me to write about this dangerous phenomenon that was beginning to appear on the horizon was what I witnessed myself when I went to the Hilla market, to which we had delegated after the outbreak of war, and that there was a stifling flour crisis. which led to a shortage of bread. I wanted to buy it at the market, and given the distance between the bakery and the neighborhood, its owner delivered it to market citizens in the area by tuk-tuk.

After waiting that morning, the tuk-tuk suddenly appeared on the street and we were watching it from afar to join us, but it suddenly stopped in front of one of the houses and we thought its owner wanted also buy bread for his family, but after waiting a long time we went to them and they were not far from us, and how surprised we were when we saw this person standing up carrying bread in large quantities to his house, and when we inquired about the situation. In fact, the bakery owner told us he bought everything. We were angered by this unethical behavior and we stopped the sales process immediately after learning that the buyer was taking advantage of the crisis and reselling the bread to citizens after reducing two loaves from each bag in return for this. , he made a profit and packaged it again to sell it to the citizen.

Who is forced to buy because it is not available given the stifling crisis following the lack of flour and the closure of most bakeries.

Everyone present protested this behavior amidst the cajoling of this greedy buyer. The sales process was immediately stopped and the owner of the oven mortgaged the opinion of the majority after their protest to sell it to all citizens after an attempt at monopolization by this unscrupulous person. who wanted to make a profit by exploiting the crisis.

What happened to some, where are the values, morals, chivalry and chivalry? Do some people wait for the crises and disasters we are experiencing to benefit at the expense of the oppressed citizen? Or what exactly is happening and what is the problem? motive which pushes some to abandon their values and their morals and to wait for crises and disasters to enrich themselves at the expense of the pain of others?
