Secretary of Zakat in North Kordofan: We will strongly support the Jabaraka community project

The Secretary General of Zakat in North Kordofan State, Mr. Musa Yusuf Muhammad, confirmed that the office would strongly support the Al-Jabaraka community project to establish horticultural agriculture to ensure food security for the population of the town of Al-Obeid.

Moussa said: Our support for the Jabraka project comes as it is a vital project associated with the Siqa project, which solved the problem of thirst in the city at a difficult time when all water sources (north and south) were completely cut off. of service.

Moussa added that the Office paid huge sums of money to the locality of Shikan within the framework of the partnership on the Al-Siqa project, and that now nothing prevents us from paying what is required of us within the framework of the partnership on the Jabaraka project. community project because this project is considered a first-rate food security project, which will help provide citizens with all the vegetables to fight hunger according to categories (winter, summer, autumn).

Musa said during his meeting with members of Eco Sudan, the technical designer of the project, that the office is committed to providing drip irrigation systems for the number of acres targeted for agriculture, depending on cost and technical specifications.

Musa Muhammad said such projects, as part of the organization's partnership with the technical departments of Shikan locality (agriculture and others), must benefit and an integrated future vision must be developed on how to advance the horticultural sector in the neighborhoods. and city streets, and also encourage domestic agriculture.

For his part, the Director General of the organization, Mr. Suhaib Hamed Muhammad Hamed, explained that the methodology followed in the design of the project is that the Al-Jabraka project will be a first-class food security project, to contribute to the future of changing societal behavior in terms of food cultivation and vegetable and fruit production methods by encouraging family farming. It also contributes to economic development at the individual and collective levels.

Hamed confirmed that the project is currently forming (35) cooperative societies through the Cooperation Department of Shikan locality, the State Cooperation Presidency, and with the participation of other project partners, and all technical arrangements for training are completed.

Hamed added that after the stage of establishing cooperative societies, there will come directly the stage of installing the farm fence, as well as the start of planting, because the plants are ready in the nursery.
