Launch of a workshop to strengthen the community surveillance system in the locality of Dalqo

Yesterday evening, a workshop aimed at strengthening the community surveillance system was launched at the building in Delgu locality, in the presence of the Director of the General Department of Health Emergencies and Epidemic Control of the Northern State, Dr. Etemad Al-Fadil Othman, and the director of the General Administration of Health Emergencies in the locality of Delgu, Dr. Abu Al-Qasim Ahmed Ali. The workshop was sponsored by the Minister of Health of the Northern State, Dr. Sati Hassan Sati, in cooperation with UNICEF. under the supervision and monitoring of the Executive Director of the locality of Dalgo and the General Administration of Health Affairs of the locality, the workshop lasted one day.

In this context, the Director of the General Directorate of Health Emergencies and Epidemic Control of Northern State indicated that the workshop targets all localities of Northern State and was inaugurated in the localities of Dongola and Halfa, then in the localities of Dalqo and Al-Barqiq, then the rest of the localities in the state.

She explained that UNICEF is the main support of the Ministry of Health in this northern state, particularly in preventing the cholera epidemic.

She explained that the workshop focused on monitoring events and outbreaks in communities that have not reached health centers, particularly isolated areas and villages, and that cadres were extensively trained on how to monitor and report through the local health department and then the state department. of Health with the aim of protecting citizens against diseases and epidemics with the need to pay attention to early and rapid response

For his part, the director of the General Department of Health Affairs of the locality of Dalgo declared that the workshop targeted eighteen executives in the different targeted areas, trained in the fight against epidemics and the rapid spread of diseases and promoting healthy behavior, and that these workshops are of utmost importance in educating executives and citizens on how to respond and report immediately in the event of outbreaks and deadly diseases.
