The Governor of the North, Abdeen Awadallah, attended, in Dongola, the activities to celebrate the International Day of Disability for the year 2024 and the scientific conference to strengthen the participation of people with disabilities, organized by the Council of Persons with Disabilities and the State Humanitarian Aid Commission, in partnership with Dongola University, Children's Capacity Development Organization and UNICEF.
Honored by the Federal Minister for Social Development, Ahmed Adam Bakhit, and a number of members of the state government, state security committee, organizations, events and disability sectors from different states of Sudan, the state governor expressed the welcome of the state government to this federal event,
He declared that this celebration and conference take place in the exceptional circumstances that the country is going through and the effects of the war after the rebellion of the rapid support militia, which caused the displacement of citizens and led to mental, psychological, mental and physical. ,
Highlighting its support for existing partnerships between the Council for Persons with Disabilities, Dongola University and the Humanitarian Aid Commission, and advancing efforts to implement laws that address the issues of persons with disabilities,

He hopes that the conference will produce a clear vision for advancing work in the field of people with disabilities, their integration and leadership in society.
