Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Muhammad Ibrahim held a meeting with the Governor of North Kordofan State, Abdul Khaliq Abdul Latif Wada' Allah, and discussed the health situation in the state.
Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Muhammad Ibrahim, in statements to the press after his meeting with the state governor, said the meeting discussed the general health situation, in particular Al-Obeid and Al-Jomaih Hospital, which provides dialysis services, indicating that the reports received from the State confirmed the maintenance of dialysis and oncology services and the epidemiological situation is reassuring, stressing that the ministry, through the National Fund, delivered to the State the pharmaceutical supply of medicines, solutions, blood bags, etc. that the ministry is committed to responding to all health requests to the state's hospitals. Particularly Al-Obeid Hospital, which supports emergency services and emergency health activity services to combat epidemics.
For his part, the Governor of North Kordofan State, Abdel Khaleq Abdel Latif Wada'ullah, said that the meeting with the Federal Minister of Health focused on the health problems facing the state and on the manner of providing medical services to the citizens of the state, in light of the current conditions witnessed, noting that the Federal Minister of Health has promised to resolve the operational problems of hospitals in the state, especially the university hospital Al-Abyad and Al-Jomaih Hospital for kidney patients. the only hospital to provide dialysis services, as it has 30 working dialysis machines. Among them are 12 washing machines, and we need more total dialysis machines. He went on to say that we have a problem with medical oxygen, because there is a factory affiliated with the Social Security Hospital and it does not cover the needs of the state. and the Minister of Health promised to provide a medical oxygen plant.
